I have everything set on timers. Really easy app. Just make sure your wifi on auto and not set to high channel. Devices drop otherwise.

Currently I have five Wemo devices throughout my house to control lights, fans, etc. Cant wait to try the new Wemo light bulbs that dont require the switches.
Works well 95% of the time, occasionally loses track of whether switch is off or on and requires extra time to detect.
Followed steps to the letter. App shows successful setup complete. Device shows up in app. Then never again can I connect to the device to operate it. Tried changing locations and many other things... Nothing works. Then, the app is zero help in finding a solution unless I want to dig endlessly through support articles.
Devices constantly disappear from the app, rendering the Wemo outlets and switches utterly useless and nothing more than a source of frustration, despite wifi speeds in excess of 100/10 (download/upload) and my having installed every update to date. Im moving back to timers to control fixtures remotely, as the devices more often than not fail to reappear even after multiple reboots, and Im tired of having to reset and re-install each and every device over and over. Youd think that after the length of time the wemo devices and app have been available, they would have figured out how to make them work. Sadly, they have not.
So great.....Cannot wait to get my echo to use voice integration.
I really like the Wemo plugs, have them throughout my house and use my Echo to turn on and off. Can check app if away from home to see if anything was left on and can turn off if needed!
TERRIBLE app. I got one of my three switched to work, almost by accident. Every time I try to connect the 2nd either the app tells me it cant connect to my home network or the app outright crashes and Im back to the home screen. Why wouldnt it just connect the new switch to my existing network?? Whats worse is that theres no way to exit the setup process unless I uninstall or the app "thankfully" crashes. Even if I wanted to give up the other switch and just control the working one, Im stuck in setup. Ive tried it on a iPhone 6 and a new gen iPad with the same results. HORRIBLE. UPDATE: After three weeks I finally got all three of my switches connected and working. Did nothing different so no clue what the magic was. Once everything is set up, it seems to work great, but the setup process itself is too inconsistent. I wouldnt buy these again unless I knew the app was finally fixed.
Change your WIfi SID are you are going to loose a day of your life to this system.
App is updated, but has crashed 7 times, each time within 10 seconds of opening. Cannot control crock pot.
Been using light switches and motion sensors for quite some time. They work great with the app and with IFTTT app adds lots of beat things. Now, where is Apple Homekit support.
I found it easy to install and setup. I like being able to control my outside lights from near and far.
Ive been a WeMo user for about 3 years now, using both the Switch and Insight Switch. Out of the box, everything worked beautifully and I was able to control and schedule my whole house fan during the spring-fall based on the weather of the day, thanks to my Nest and Yahoo! Weather app. In the winter, Id use another switch to control our Econoheat ceramic heater. During vacations, Id set up a few lamps with the switches to cycle on and off at various times of day to mimic as if someone were home. As app updates and firmware a came out, the app really suffered. Id lose the connection and would have to close out the app and reload and/or go to my circuit breaker to shut off the circuit in order to turn off the whole house fan (the switch is deep in the attic). The latest firmware and app seems to work seamlessly without any issues. Im happy.
The wall switches do not connect to the network. The outlets in the same room work, so it isnt signal strength. Time to return the 4 light switches that I cant get to connect.
I have 2 wemo switches and use them with my amazon echo and they work great!!! No problems at all. Im thinking of where else in the house I can put one.
Great improvements in the app!!!! Keep rocking
After some initial problems (years ago) Wemo works great now and is very stable. Congrats to your engineers!
I was hoping to control lights in main house and a second property. No can do! At least I cant figure it out. You cannot switch between networks to do so. Major flaw in my opinion
Great app works as described. Only fault I can find is that you cant have multiple devices control the products or multiple users.
Software unbelievably confusing. No excuse for such poor programmability with otherwise great hardware.
