Wemo App Reviews

Its hit or miss with Wemo. It can work great for a day and then useless for 2.

I just got rid of all of my WeMo hardware as Belkin does not have a roadmap to support HomeKit. I will not buy WeMo in the future. The app is also quite flakey and lost connection to my devices frequently.

I dont think I could live without my WeMo. Its so handy and makes conserving light easy. #WheelyLife

This product is difficult to set up. After installation the product updated itself then became non functional. It took numerous resets to get it to finally work. I made the mistake of purchasing another product for a family member (light bulbs) and we never were able to get them to work. Will not be buying Belkin again.

I really want you guys to add widgets so it will be so easy to turn on and off light switch and lamps. This is what lacking in wemo because i feel that i can manually turn on faster then open app and do it. Please consider this request and add widget.

When they works they are great. The problem is how often they dont work. So often it doesnt recognize the wifi network and have to spend a ton of wasted time resetting or messing around to make it work. The quality has to be better than this. The concept is great, but the Wemo folks may have to step outside of the box and rethink how to make things more user friendly and make the product much much more stable so the end users dont have to have low confidence if and when the devices will work. I hope they focus more on the quality of the product and the quality of the end user experience from start to finish.

Emailed support many times and they have never responded. Funny that I would get prompted to do another review. When it stops acting buggy, I will rate it higher. Still having issues. Constantly get a not connected message. I wish I could give less than one star rating.

Now suddenly this week the link wont read NON OF THE LED BULBS, so now back to manual use of lights. Useless app now. You would think the app would read the phones time for timed rules. The takes are NEVER on time. For a rule set for 10:05pm it does it at 10pm. So we are stuck doing the guessing game. App should allow Siri to at least cut lights on & off my label name. Like living, dinning, bed room lights.

The switches and camera I use work seamlessly! Lights on timer, camera with motion sensor all on wifi . Excellent!!

In the early days it was pretty rough. It didnt work consistently. But now with the latest firmware it seems to work very well.

For the last few weeks the Wemo app is no longer sending push notifications for my wemo-enabled appliances...

The app works well enough, except for when the Wemo devices no longer appear. But, seriously, how about updating the app so that it doesnt look silly on an iPad or on an iPhone 6?

A little difficult to figure out because the directions arent very clear. But overall satisfied with product.

I have and Im not prepared to change the passwords on all my other wifi connected devices just to fit in with Belkins weak security. Only letters and numbers indeed. Will return to vendor.

Been using WeMo for several years. Continued unreliable failures where units all drop off network randomly for no apparent reason. Have excellent WiFi and use HUE all over house without issue. Have to "unplug" and re-plug units when they fall off network. Not all so easy to get to. Phasing out as many as possible with more reliable products.
